The district collector of Visakhapatnam, Harendira Prasad, reviewed urban and rural housing projects. He noted that 1.29 lakh houses were sanctioned but only 23,995 were completed. He directed the Housing Department to update 71,133 houses and elevate 4,109 to slab level, among other targets. Daily progress reports were mandated from August 10.
