Babulal Marandi, the state BJP president, announced a statewide protest on September 11 against the land acquisition for Rims' second campus in Nagri and the alleged murder of activist Surya Hansda. Marandi claims Hansda was killed for opposing illegal coal mining and stone smuggling.
